My Friend

When we invite personally Jesus in our every day lives, we can experience every day miracles.

He said to them: “But who do you say that I am?” – Matthew 16: 15 (Today’s Gospel)

I’ve been an MIA blogger… In fact, it’s been three weeks since I last blogged! Mainly cuz there has been so much to do (Family Culture, SFC CLP, Meetings, Life Catch ups), there’s been so much to share about. How can human language really express how awesome God is? I can only recount in detail how God was miraculous in pulling of #ETNC Music Min in less than a month and answering a 10 year+ prayer: seeing my mom attend ETNC. These miracles, still brightly dwell in my heart as I continue the mission back home. MV Life, and Mission Home (Mama) doesn’t end at TNC.

The Lord has helped me deal with post-Conference miracle “deer in headlights” state by asking me to silently reflect specifically on the person of Jesus. Doing so has helped protect the heart from being overwhelmed by the greatness of His divinity (euphoric, giddy, “oh my lanta” happiness) and being One in everything I do with how Jesus Himself did things, acted and felt… Jesus, My Friend, God who walks with me in the every day. Forget being a ‘seasoned’ MV. Some times, He’ll just ask the simple questions to root us back. From session 2 of the Youth Camp, the question was: Who is Jesus to you personally… In this very moment?

In my reflection of the past three weeks, I see that the the fruits of the Spirit are here though the struggles at home are still real (see last post). Joy has not only been present but maintained by the Spirit through it all (Together, Mom and I laugh a lot about everything). Because in sum, if we really know who Jesus is personally and what He has done, then we know that anything He asks us to do can only lead us to the every day Miracle: transformation. Fast and sudden (#JesusExpo-style) but more often than not… Slow and gradual (like a change of heart– Mama [post-ETNC]). It is in walking side-by-side (like Friends), with Jesus who loves us so much that makes the unveiling of these miracles in the every-day so much sweeter.

(Personal Thanksgiving Prayer): Lord Jesus, I know that You are Great God, capable of the Impossible. Thank You for being with me these past three weeksAnd simply, thank You for continuing to walk with me in the every day as Provider (Matthew 14: 13-21), Tester (Matthew 15: 21-28) and Friend (John 15: 13-15). Help me to keep my feet on the ground by drawing me closer to You through Your Son. Preserve the joy received from the miracles of this ETNC by keeping my heart in heaven in all that I do moving forward. Amen.
